Each painting begins outdoors through plein air studies, then is transformed in her studio with gesso and acrylic underpainting before being refined with oil paint
Originally from Long Island, New York, Linda moved to Colorado in 1973 to study Fine Art at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her work blends realism with a touch of fantasy, infused with vibrant colors and layered textures. Each painting begins outdoors through plein air studies, then is transformed in her studio with gesso and acrylic underpainting before being refined with oil paint. Inspired by the sweeping landscapes of the Southwest, the mountains and plains of Colorado, and the luminous beaches of Florida and California, her signature buffalo paintings express a deep connection to the spirit and strength of the West. Linda has taught studio and plein air painting for over a decade and leads an annual art workshop in Taos, New Mexico.
